About IVCA Conclave 2017

IVCA’s Annual India Alternatives Conclave 2017 is the premier conclave focused on private markets investments in India. Now, in its 5th year, IVCA Conclave will bring India's most successful GPs together with some of the most influential LPs from across the globe for two days of high level discussions, debates and networking along with top Indian Government policy makers.

IVCA has partnered with National Investment and Infrastructure Fund (NIIF), a fund created by the Government of India for enhancing infrastructure financing in the country. Past conclaves have received an overwhelming response and attendance from the Indian and Global investor community along with various Ministries and Government officials

Shri Arun Jaitley, Hon’ble Union Minister for Finance and Corporate Affairs, Government of India is scheduled to be the Chief Guest with other Ministers/Dignitaries and will address the IVCA’s Annual India Alternatives Conclave 2017 on 6th March 2017. The Conclave would showcase and discuss the huge investment opportunities in India. For the two days, special focus would be on investment opportunities in the sectors of infrastructure, energy & other growing sectors.

About IVCA

The Indian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (IVCA), established in 1993 and based in New Delhi, is the oldest, most influential and largest member-based national organization of its kind. It represents venture capital and private equity firms to promote the industry within India and overseas. It seeks to create a more favorable environment for private equity, venture capital investment and entrepreneurship. It is an influential forum representing the industry to governmental bodies and public authorities.

IVCA members include leading venture capital and private equity firms, institutional investors, banks, corporate advisers, accountants, lawyers and other service providers of the venture capital and private equity industry. These firms provide capital for seed ventures, early stage companies, later-stage expansion and growth equity for management buyouts/ buy-ins. IVCA has nearly 120 members, leading domestic and international funds, limited partners and sovereign wealth funds.

According to a Mckinsey report, in excess of $ 120 billion of long-term capital has been provided by these funds to ventures and projects in India in vital sectors such as infrastructure, healthcare, real estate education, fin-tech, E-commerce and other sectors. In this manner, IVCA aims to support entrepreneurial activity and innovation as well as the development and maintenance of a private equity and venture capital industry that provides long term equity capital. It helps establish high standards of ethics, business conduct and professional competence. IVCA also serves as a powerful platform for investment funds to interact with each other.
